Here is our lore:
There once was a village named Mara. All of the people were happy and they lived a peaceful life. One day the scientists of Mara wondered if they could make a formula that alters the DNA of a human to allow them to shapeshift into one animal of their choice. It took them years to master but eventually they found the formula. They started giving it out to people once they turned 13, and gave it to the people that were older than 13. At first this was a choice but eventually it became mandatory as they found it gave you immunity to disease. Although this was such a miracle the villagers had to keep it secret or travelers across the world would come to get this formula. They soon found out that those shapeshifting genes carried out to offspring so they no longer had to give out the formula. Once the offspring turned 13 all they had to do was to touch the animal of their choice and they would forever be able to shapeshift into that
